My partner attends Derby Day Centre, and I cannot thank Shelly and her wonderful team enough for the care and support they provide. Every time I go to collect him, he is smiling, laughing, and clearly having a fantastic time. The team puts so much thought and effort into planning enjoyable days filled with music, activities, fun, and delicious food. There is always something engaging for everyone to enjoy. Knowing that he is safe, happy, and that all of his personal needs are being met means the world to me. It also gives me valuable time to catch up on things and have a much-needed break, knowing he is in such caring and capable hands. Thank you, Shelly and the entire team at Derby Day Centre, for everything you do. Your kindness, dedication, and enthusiasm make such a positive difference to both the people who attend and their families.

Every Thursday a warm welcome awaits all who come to Derby Care Services meetings. Colourful equipment is in place for fun activities and craft sessions and enthusiastic volunteers ensure that everyone is well looked after and provided with breakfast. Information on the lunch menu is also given. Leader Shelly is an excellent motivator and encourages participation in the day's activities but there is no pressure to join in.Care is given to ensuring everyone is treated as an individual and even people like my husband who is very much a loner and was not at all enthusiastic about joining the group, now looks forward to Thursdays! As do I for a bit of freedom knowing Ken is in safe hands.
